This Summer School is one of the most prestigious educational events for stroke trainees
throughout Europe. It has an internationally renowned teaching faculty and it has contributed
to the training of many of the current and future leaders in clinical stroke care and research.
It´s primary goal is to increase knowledge of cerebrovascular disease among physicians in
training for stroke care in Europe by offering a concentrated series of high quality courses on
selected topics with special attention to new concepts and advances on stroke medicine.
Secondary goals of the ESO Summer School are to provide participants with advanced
information and knowledge they can use in their professional environment, and to foster
contacts within the European stroke community.
In 2016, we are delighted to host you in Madrid during this edition of the ESO Summer School.
In this occasion we desire to offer you an interesting teaching program, imparted by renowed
